Shirley Spradlin, 74, Dies

Shirley Spradlin, 74 of Carrollton, passed away on Friday, Oct. 11. She was born Sept. 3, 1939 in LaGrange, GA., the daughter of the late Leon Gilmore and the late Mildred I. Wilson Gilmore. She was a homemaker and a member of the Congregational Holiness Church.

Survivors include her husband, Huey Spradlin of Carrollton; son, Travis Harris of Palmetto; daughter Sheena Ivey of Lakeland, Georgia; sister, Hazel Shadinger of Carrollton; brother, Arnold Gilmore and half-brother, Buford Bolt, both of Carrollton; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Sister Linda Baughtman and Brother Ronald Cook officiating.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 until 9 p.m.
