Shredding Event For Douglas County Announced
The Great Douglas County Shredding Event is right around the corner so get your documents ready.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA – It’s that time of the year again. The Great Douglas County Shredding Event is right around the corner so get your documents ready.
On Saturday, June 23, Douglas County residents will have the opportunity to bring their private documents, tax records, and financial reports to the Douglas County Courthouse for shredding done by A1 Shredding and Recycling Company. The Douglas County Communications and Community Relations Department and the External Affairs Department are sponsoring the event.
Douglas County is providing four bank quality shredding trucks to the courthouse parking lot at 8700 Hospital Drive, to allow residents to drive through the marked areas and have their papers shredded while they watch. The event begins at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to last until noon. However, if all of the trucks fill up, the event will end at this time, so residents are encouraged to arrive early.

The event is free and open to the public. The shredding is limited to personal records of county residents and businesses are not eligible for this service. Douglas County believes this is an excellent chance for residents to protect their identity in a safe, efficient way; therefore, make sure to take advantage of this event.
