Sign Up for CAC Summer Arts Camp
The hands-on arts camp is for ages 7 to 11 and will be held at Hunter Park starting on Monday.

The presents a full week of intensive hands-on arts exploration of the wonderful world of the arts during its 2011 summer arts camp, Starry Night & Beyond–Intergalactic Art, at , Monday, until Friday, led by three expert and experienced teaching artists for children, 7 to 11 years old, offered in partnership with the Douglasville Department of Parks and Recreation.
During Starry Night & Beyond–Intergalactic Art, art campers will explore and learn about the relationship of stars, space and art through the art disciplines of dance, ceramics and visual arts. Campers (a total of 30 can be registered) will be divided into three groups of ten by age. The daily schedule, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., will include three art-making sessions, a morning and afternoon break (snacks provided by Douglasville Department of Parks and Recreation) and lunch (provided by campers). On the final afternoon the campers will present an original performance and exhibit their visual art creations during the Celebration of Success, Friday, July 15, from 4 until 5 p.m. Families, friends and the community are invited to attend.

Fees for the week are $100 for the first child ($75 for CAC members) with a $5 discount for siblings. Early drop off from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. and late pick up 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. can be arranged with the Parks and Recreation staff.
