This tentative increase will result in a millage of 12.900 mills, an increase of 2.951 mills. Without this increase the millage rate would be no more than 9.949 mills. This proposed tax increase for a home with fair market value of $125,000 is approximately $130. A non-homestead property with a FMV of $150,000 is an increase of approximately $177.
All concerned citizens are invited to attend the public hearings on this tax increase to be held at the Douglas County Court House 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville - Citizens Hall.
