Storms Threat Rolls In: Latest Ga. Weather Timeline
Georgia weather forecast shows rain and thunderstorms threatening region over the next week.

A line of severe weather will move into the area late Wednesday, possibly bringing severe weather over the next 36 hours.
A few strong thunderstorms are possible Wednesday, but severe storms aren't expected until Thursday, according to a National Weather Service statement.
"The primary threats from any thunderstorms will be frequent lightning, gusty winds, brief heavy rain and possibly some hail," according to the weather service.

On Thursday, thunderstorm chances become more widespread for Thursday, along with a marginal risk for isolated severe thunderstorms.
Strong winds, hail and frequent lightening will be the primary threats with any strong to severe thunderstorms, according to the weather service.

Here's the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:
Wednesday Afternoon: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 8pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. West wind around 5 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 84. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
The forecast may appear clear and warm on Friday, but the threat for storms will return for the weekend and linger into next week as the temperatures start to drop.
