Suspected Burglar Stole Lottery Tickets, Cashed Them At Another Store: Police

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is looking to speak to a man regarding a recent burglary at the Shell gas station at Fairburn Road and Anneewakee Road.

The agency issued a “be on the lookout alert” (BOLO) Wednesday morning, showing images of the suspect and the pickup truck he was riding in.
The sheriff’s office said the Shell station was hit around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 5. About two hours later, he allegedly visited a convenience store on Old Dixie Highway in Forest Park to cash out lottery tickets stolen at the Shell station.

He was seen leaving the Forest Park store as a passenger in a 4-door black Dodge pickup truck.
