Teen Found with Gun, Ammo at Lithia Springs High School
The 17-year-old did not make any threats.

A Lithia Springs High School student was taken into custody for allegedly bringing a gun and ammunition to school Wednesday, the first day of classes in Douglas County.
Fox 5 reported a school resources officer acted on a tip that a student had a gun. The officer searched a 17-year-old boy and found the weapon. The teen did not make any threats, the TV station reported.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Glenn Daniel said Joshua Colson was arrested and will be charged in the incident.

WSB-TV said the incident occurred around noon, and a lockdown was not needed at the school.
