Traffic Alert: Snow May Impact Secondary Roads, Bridges

Areas of light snow or flurries will increase across the region Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service, including the metro Atlanta area.

For areas along and north of Interstate 20 and I-85, a quick dusting to a half inch of snow is possible, especially over grassy and metal surfaces.

In addition, where the snow is more persistent and heavier, secondary roads, bridges and overpasses could briefly become snow covered. That may create a few slick spots through the morning.

Heaver snow accumulations are expected across north Georgia, where a winter weather advisory is in effect.
