Amtrak Train Crashes Into Car, Person Gets Airlifted
The cause of the crash between the Norfolk Southern Railroad train and a car Wednesday is unknown.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Authorities are investigating Wednesday after an Amtrak passenger train crashed into a car at Hyde and Temple Streets, near Thornton Road, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. on Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks, authorities said.

A person in the car was airlifted to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, authorities said. The person's condition is unknown.
It is unknown if there were other injuries.
