Trapped Driver Rescued After Tractor-Trailer Overturns In Douglasville
The man was extricated from the truck and life-flown to a hospital Tuesday.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A man who was trapped in an overturned tractor trailer Tuesday afternoon was rescued, according to Douglas County officials.
A passerby reported the overturned box truck around 12:40 p.m. at North Burnt Hickory Road and Connally Trail, near the Paulding County line, officials said.
Douglas County firefighters were able to extricate the man and take him to a nearby landing zone, from where he was evaluated and airlifted to a hospital, officials said.

The North Burnt Hickory/Connally intersection is closed for a few hours Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The Georgia State Patrol and the Department of Public Safety are investigating the case.
