Traveling For The Weekend: Here's A GDOT Update

Traveling for the weekend? Here's an update from the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Expect Traffic and Delays during Friday and Weekend Travel Times; Plan ahead and find Alternate routes. Weather permitting; Georgia Department of Transportation continues to improve highway infrastructure throughout Metropolitan Atlanta and statewide. As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue this weekend.

In addition, with the convergence events happening in the downtown and Midtown area beginning Friday and continuing throughout the weekend. A major project of interest that will likely impact traffic is the North Express Lanes project; motorists are advised to plan ahead, expect heavy delays and seek alternate routes.
