TV Series Filming In Douglas County To Close Road This Weekend
Due to filming for a series called "The Haunting of Hill House," a portion of Post Road will be closed this weekend.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA – Due to filming for a series called “The Haunting of Hill House,” a portion of Post Road will be closed this weekend, according to Douglas County. The closure will occur Friday, May 4 into Saturday, May 5, tentatively between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.
“The Haunting of Hill House,” is reportedly a Netflix series based on the 1959 Gothic horror novel by American author Shirley Jackson “The Haunting of Hill House.”
The series is described as a modern re-imagining of Jackson’s novel, which has been praised as one of the best horror stories of the 20th century. The storyline of the book follows four people as they spend a summer in a rented mansion. During their stay, they begin to experience a wide range of supernatural phenomena. It has been already adapted into feature films in 1963 and 1999.

According to Variety, the planned 10-episode series comes from writer-director Mike Flanagan. Flanagan is known for include horror films such as “Hush,” “Oculus,” and the sequel “Ouija: Origin of Evil.”

A detour route the county offered if heading northbound on Post Rd: Turn Right onto E. Union Hill Rd, then turn Left onto Daniel Mill Rd.
If heading southbound Post Rd: 1. Turn left onto Daniel Mill Rd. 2. Turn Right onto E. Union Hill Rd.
Northbound Cool Springs Rd: Turn left onto Post Rd., then turn left onto E. Union Hill Rd., then turn left onto Daniel Mill Rd.
