Vehicle Fire Shuts Down Lanes On Interstate 20

Two westbound lanes remained closed Friday afternoon due to the fire, officials said.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Two westbound lanes of Interstate 20 were closed down Friday afternoon due to a vehicle fire on the highway.

All westbound lanes had been shut down due to the fire, according to the Douglas County Fire Department. By 3:30 p.m., the Georgia Department of Transportation was reporting that one of those lanes had been opened.

The incident was between the westbound exits to South Baggett and Post roads.
