'The Walking Dead' Stuntman Killed In On-Set Fall
John Bernecker was rehearsing a fight scene when he fell about 30 feet, according to reports.

SENOIA, GA — A stuntman working on "The Walking Dead" has died after taking a fall Thursday on the set of the AMC zombie show, according to reports.
Stuntman John Bernecker, 33, took a 30-foot fall Thursday during filming at Raleigh Studios in Senoia, according to the show's producers.

A nearly 10-year veteran who had appeared in films including "Black Panther," "The Fate of the Furious" and "Logan," Bernecker had been taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where he was on life-support Thursday evening, industry journal Deadline reported.
Deadline quotes sources who say Bernecker and an actor were rehearsing a fight scene that was supposed to end with a fall from a balcony, but he lost his footing and fell.

AMC suspended production on Season 8 of the popular series after the accident. There was no word Friday morning on when production may resume.

Wednesday evening, Bernecker's girlfriend Jennifer Cocker, who is a stuntwoman, addressed his injury on Facebook.
"John deserves to be seen by every neurosurgeon and doctor there is until one of them sees the life we all know he has in him and bring(s) him back to us," she wrote. "THIS ISN'T FAIR."
