War Vet Barrington Kenneth Harvey, 80, Dies

Barrington Kenneth Harvey, 80 of Douglasville, passed away Friday, Sept. 13. He was born July 10, 1933 in Cornwell England the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Harvey. He retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korea and Vietnam Wars as a Air Force Engineer. He later worked as an appliance technician for General Electric until he retired. He was a Christian by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Jeanette Gerlitzki Harvey. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Mary Harvey of Douglasville and Douglas Harvey and Sharon Clinner of Smyrna; three grandchildren, Lauren and Daniel Leverette, Crystal Clinner, Alan Harvey; two great-grandchildren, Tye Clinner and Analyn Clinner.
Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Grieme officiating. Interment followed at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. Full Military Honors were provided by members of the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
