(Expired) Weather Alert: Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Douglasville

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Douglas County until 9:30 p.m.
At 8:43 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located in the Waleska and Woodstock areas and moving southeast at 55 mph.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for a large area in north and central Georgia until 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The watch covers all of metro Atlanta and north Georgia, including Douglas County.
Storms moving south into Georgia from Tennessee could bring damaging winds, frequent lightning, large hail and heavy rain later tonight, the weather service said.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for the formation of severe weather.
