Severe Storms Could Arrive Friday, Linger For Weekend
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says widespread strong to severe storms are in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.

The weather service said there’s a chance for isolated thunderstorms in North Georgia Thursday, but heavier weather could become more widespread with a disturbance on Friday and a “fairly strong” cold front on Saturday.
“Strong to severe storms are possible with both periods, though the greater chance will be with the front on Saturday,” the weather service said (see attached graphic above).

The best chance for the rough stuff is 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. both days, the weather service said. Precipitation chances are 70 percent Friday and 80 percent on Saturday, according to the weather service.
Damaging winds, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, localized flooding and large hail are possible.
Highs are expected to be in the low 90s Friday and mid- to upper-80s on Saturday.
