
West Georgia Tech’s men’s basketball team dropped a 56-48 road setback to Snead State Community College Saturday.
The loss leaves WGTC at 1-7 overall, with all seven losses coming to teams from a higher classification.
The Golden Knights had their worst shooting night of the season, shooting just 33.9 percent from the field (20-of-59). WGTC was just 3-of-16 from three-point range.

Snead State wasn’t much better as they shot 40 percent from the field, but the difference in the game was at the free-throw line where Snead State (13-of-29) connected on eight more shots than WGTC (5-of-9).
Snead State outrebounded the Golden Knights 42-29.

West Georgia Tech’s Ryan Jones scored a game-high 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting. Jones also led the team in rebounding with nine.
The Golden Knights are back in action Monday night as they host Gordon State at 7:30 p.m., at Oak Mountain Academy.
WGTC will look to avenge an earlier 89-70 loss to Gordon State in the season-opener at Barnesville.
