When Do Douglas County Students Return To School?

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — With the winter holiday break under way, the Douglas County school year is officially halfway over. So, how does the second half of the year shape up?

Here’s the 2016-17 school calendar for Douglas County Schools.

Students return from Christmas break on January 4. They'll be off for the MLK Jr. holiday on January 16 and spring break begins on April 3.

January 2: Holiday
January 3: Teacher work day
January 4: Semester begins
January 16: MLK Jr. Holiday
February 20-22: Winter holiday
April 3-7: Spring break
May 26: Semester ends
May 29: Memorial Day
May 30-June 1: Post-planning
