Yoga Studio Brings Food, Clothing, Hope To North Douglas Students
North Douglas Elementary, Keep it Moving Yoga and Barre have joined forces this Spring to provide necessities to students when they need it.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — North Douglas Elementary School and Keep it Moving Yoga and Barre in downtown Douglasville have joined forces this Spring to provide necessities to students when they need it. North Douglas Elementary School currently operates a food and clothing pantry that serves their school community and the needs of students. The pantry stocks food, school supplies, clothing and anything that will benefit the school’s students.
Keep it Moving Yoga and Barre volunteered to support the mission of the pantry by donating money and clothing. Volunteers from the studio, North Douglas, St. James AME Church and the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps-Warrior Division of Douglasville all worked together to sort and organize the donations for students. Assistant Principal Dr. Andre Touchard says: “Our food pantry is just another way to connect with our students and our parents. We are grateful for these donations so that we can continue to benefit the school and our community. “
Keep It Moving Yoga and Barre was founded by Genevieve and Darnell Harris with the mission of embracing the human body’s ability to heal from within.
