DOUGLASVILLE, GA. (Oct. 28, 2016) – Youth Villages is seeking Holiday Heroes for more than 140 children receiving help on its Douglasville campus or through its Atlanta-area programs for histories of trauma and emotional or behavioral problems. Holiday Heroes make the holiday wishes come true for a child or a child and his or her siblings.

To become a Holiday Hero, individuals, families or groups may request a child’s wish list online by visiting www.youthvillages.org/holidayheroes and clicking on “Georgia.” Holiday Heroes also may donate toys or make a contribution toward helping a child’s holiday wishes come true. A $100 donation will purchase all of the items on a child’s wish list, and a $200 donation will provide gifts to a child and his or her siblings. However, Youth Villages appreciates donations of any size.

To donate to the Holiday Heroes fund, please visit www.youthvillages.org/holidayheroes or mail a check to Youth Villages, Attn: Holiday Heroes/Chelsea Carver, 225 Peachtree St. NE, Ste. 900, Atlanta, GA 30303. Checks must be received by Dec. 18. For in-kind donations or more information, please contact Chelsea Carver at Youth Villages at (404) 880-9323 ext. 147 or at Chelsea.carver@youthvillages.org.
