The temporary board, led by new chairman David Westerfield, now begins training and planning to stabilize the district and refocus on long-term goals for local students and families.

• Dublin returns to form, resumes winning ways at Washington County (courierheraldtoday.com) — Dublin High's Fighting Irish bounced back in a big way, pounding Washington County 33–7 on Friday to move to 3–1 heading into their open week. With more than 300 rushing yards and a stingy defense, Dublin reestablished its usual dominance before opening Region 2-AA play at Bleckley County after the break.
