• Volleyball Recap: Brookwood Stays Hot with Another Win, This Time over Duluth (maxpreps.com) — Duluth High's volleyball team had a rough night Thursday, falling 2–0 to a red‑hot Brookwood squad that dominated both sets 25–7 and 25–9. The loss continues a tough stretch for the Wildcats, who've now dropped 10 of their last 12 and sit at 7–18, while Brookwood improved to 26–3 behind strong serving and setting.

Arlene Beckles Participates in 'Stop School Shootings' Film Premiere in Duluth (house-press.com) — Duluth's Gas South Convention Center recently hosted the red-carpet premiere of "Stop School Shootings," where Rep. Arlene Beckles joined filmmakers and guests to spotlight prevention-focused approaches to school safety. She tied the event to Georgia laws like Ricky and Alyssa's Law, which mandates panic alert systems, threat assessment teams, and updated campus maps in all public schools. Beckles also plans to push renewed weapons-detection funding and more mental-health staffing in the 2027 legislative session.
