• Storms bring down trees, knock out power to 50K in metro Atlanta (fox5atlanta.com) — Severe storms swept through metro Atlanta on Saturday, triggering warnings that specifically included Duluth and other nearby communities and knocking out power to more than 50,000 customers. Residents around Duluth saw heavy rain, hail, and damaging winds that brought down trees and power lines, and utilities have not yet given a firm timeline for full power restoration.
