Man Charged With Murder In Holly Springs Shooting

Bryan Overseth, 43, was found dead Jan. 21 on a private access drive in the Harmony on the Lakes subdivision.

HOLLY SPRINGS, GA -- Detectives with the Holly Springs Police Department have charged a 34-year-old man in connection to the shooting death of a Montana resident visiting friends in Cherokee County.

The agency has issued arrest warrants for Robert Derek Gialenios, who is charged with malice murder in the Jan. 21 murder of Bryan Overseth, 43.

The body of Overseth, a resident of Bigfork, Montana, was found around 10:41 p.m. Jan. 21 on a private access drive in the Harmony on the Lakes subdivision.

Holly Springs police previously said Overseth was visiting friends and family in Cherokee County when the fatal shooting took place.

Gialenios is currently in custody at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center. Jail records show he is a resident of Gainesville.
