Verizon Sponsoring Free Youth Soccer Clinic
Latin American fútbol legend Jorge Campos to provide soccer instruction, sign autographs.

Verizon is calling all future soccer superstars to a free soccer clinic. Latin American fútbol legend Jorge Campus will lead a Youth Verizon Soccer Clinic for boys and girls Sunday, May 22, at West Gwinnett Park in Norcross. Two registration days for the clinic are scheduled this weekend in Duluth and Lawrenceville.
Participants will have the opportunity to receive soccer instruction and obtain autographs from the former professional goalkeeper and worldwide soccer star known as “El Brody.” The clinic is open to youth ages 5 to 17.
Registration is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Verizon Wireless store at 3625 Satellite Blvd. in Duluth and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at the Verizon Wireless store at 890 Lawrenceville Suwanee Road in Lawrenceville.

The May 22 clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at West Gwinnett Park, 4488 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., in Norcross. The clinic will be managed by “Soccer Tom” Mulroy, a member of the first National Soccer youth team in the United States and official spokesman for the 1994 USA World Cup. The three-hour clinic will provide ball training and warm-up exercises, ball management techniques, general soccer tactics, and games on soccer fields. Activities also include practice sessions with Campos and an autograph session.
