Plans were unveiled Tuesday for the proposed $48 million Grant Park Gateway Project, a new underground parking and mobility facility which will be located at the site of the existing eight-acre surface parking lot, adjacent to Zoo Atlanta on Boulevard Avenue.

The new amenity will feature a park on the roof of the facility with green infrastructure elements and a restaurant highlighting regional cuisine, while providing approximately 1,000 parking spaces.

The death of a man from Cumming in Walton County is being linked to a string of drug overdoses in Forsyth County. On Saturday, Jeffrey Kim Wilson, 28, of Cumming, was dropped off at about 1:30 a.m. at Clearview Medical Center in Monroe, according to police.
He was unconscious upon his arrival at the hospital and was later pronounced dead by medical staff. Monroe Police said they were later able to make contact with a man and woman who dropped him off at the hospital and left him there.
Former Police K-9 Dies After Battling Heart Failure
One of the original officers who served with the Milton Police Department passed away over the weekend.
K-9 officer DaSilva died Friday, April 21 following a battle with heart failure.
DaSilva joined the Milton Police Department in November 2007, just a few months after the agency began protecting the streets of the newly incorporated city.
Man Took Boy To Prostitute To Lose His Virginity: Report
A 48-year-old man is in trouble with the law after allegedly taking a boy to a prostitute so that he could lose his virginity, Patch has learned.
Kent Evans is charged with pandering and enticing a child after he allegedly took a 14-year-old to a prostitute to an Econo Lodge off Evans Mill Road near Lithonia. DeKalb County law enforcement said that Evans reportedly wanted the teen to enjoy his first sexual experience.
