Last night we enjoyed a wonderful seafood feast of Shrimp and Scallops Alfredo, over Angel Hair Pasta, paired with a bottle of 2017 Ferrari-Carano Fume Blanc. The Ferrai-Carano is a longtime favorite, and the 2017 vintage is as good as ever.

This Fume Blanc has a floral nose accompanied by a light kiss of citrus. The flavors are big and juicy with suggestions of stone fruit, melon and green apple. The wine also has a bit of citrus and a floral brightness toward the end. The finish is crisp and clean, and begs for another sip! The wine is 100% Sauvignon Blanc and has an alcohol content of 13.8%. Norm's score is 89.

The secret to really great Shrimp and Scallops Alfredo is lots of garlic, and the Ferrari-Carano stood up to this abundance of flavor quite well!
