• Missing sex trafficking victim recovered in East Point (fox5atlanta.com) — A missing North Carolina teen who was being trafficked was safely recovered in East Point after Fulton County investigators traced online sex ads across metro Atlanta. Working with federal agents and a SWAT team, deputies located her and brought her to a secure facility for care, while an unidentified suspect was arrested as the investigation continues. 
• Retrial begins for ex-officer accused of sexually assaulting women while on duty (wsbtv.com) — A former East Point police officer is back on trial in Fulton County, facing serious charges that he sexually assaulted multiple women, including minors, while on duty. Jury selection is underway in downtown Atlanta after a 2022 proceeding ended in a partial mistrial, and the outcome could influence local views on police accountability and safety.
• In partnership with Morehouse School of Medicine, Atrium Health commits more than $700 million to a new teaching hospital and care network (allongeorgia.com) — A major new teaching hospital and care network is coming to south Atlanta, and it will build on the existing Morehouse Healthcare East Point clinic that already serves local patients. With more than $700 million committed, partners plan expanded primary, emergency, and specialty care across South Fulton, aiming to close long-standing gaps that have forced residents to travel far for treatment.
