• Massive poultry house fire prompts emergency response in Ellijay (fox5atlanta.com) — A major poultry house fire on Pleasant Gap Circle in Ellijay drew a large response from Gilmer County firefighters and EMS Monday afternoon, as crews worked to keep flames away from nearby chicken houses and propane tanks. Officials have not yet said what caused the blaze, whether anyone was hurt, or if any birds were inside, but the 500-foot structure was destroyed.
