Cherokee Libertarians To Host Commission Chair Candidates

Incumbent Buzz Ahrens and challenger Carolyn Cosby will be the guests at the Cherokee Libertarian Party's meeting next week.

The two candidates running for Cherokee County Commission chair have been invited to the Cherokee County Libertarian Party’s speaker series.

Incumbent Republican Buzz Ahrens and challenger Carolyn Cosby, who is running as an Independent candidate, will be the guest speaker for the event, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Oct. 21 in the offices of the Cherokee Association of Realtors in Woodstock.

This event will give voters the opportunity to hear from both candidates concerning their desire to be the County Commission Chair and to ask questions of the candidates.

This event is not an endorsement of either candidates campaign, but β€œshould serve as a forum for voters to understand each candidate’s platform,” the local Libertarian Party said in its news release

β€œAlthough there are no Libertarian candidates running for this office in this election, the Cherokee County Libertarian party believes that this race is of particular importance to Cherokee voters,” the party added.Β

The Cherokee Association of Realtors’ offices are at 1600 River Park Blvd Suite 104, which is in the River Park development in Woodstock.

Seating is limited and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
