Boy, 6, Honored For Efforts To Protect Police K-9
Caden Kelly organized a fundraiser to purchase a bulletproof vest for a K-9 with the Johns Creek Police Department.
A six-year-old boy was honored for his decision to hold a fundraiser to help purchase a bulletproof vest for a K-9 with the Johns Creek Police Department.
Caden Kelly on April 3 was presented with Georgia Senate Resolution 578 for his outstanding work in hosting the fundraiser for Kyra, the newest K-9 officer with Johns Creek.

Caden and his friends raised over $2,400 to buy Kyra a custom made bulletproof vest. Caden presented Kyra’s handler, officer Elizabeth Roberts, and the K-9 the vest at Shakerag Elementary School.
This community service was part of Caden’s Super Hero Project, a community service initiative by his martial arts school Karate USA.

Six other young students from Karate USA helped raise more than $100 each to donate to the cause.
