Five Candidates Qualify for State House District 50 Special Election
Kelly Stewart and Brad Raffensperger, both of Johns Creek, both qualified to replace Lynne Riley in the House of Representatives.

Five candidates have qualified to run in the special election to fill the vacant State House District 50 seat.
Republicans Kelly Leigh Stewart, Royce M. Reinecke and Bradford Jay Raffensperger, Libertarian Christine A. Austin and Paul Troop — who did not list a party affiliation — all qualified this week to fill the seat, which was vacated when Lynne Riley was tapped by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve as the state Department of Revenue commissioner.
While Troop did not list a party affiliation, he ran as a Democrat to unseat Riley in the Nov. 4 general election, a bid he subsequently lost.
