Johns Creek Named 4th Best City To Live In

The city is the only one in Georgia to make 24/7 Wall St.'s list of the America's 50 Best Cities to Live In.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Just weeks before it celebrates its 10th birthday, the city of Johns Creek has yet another accolade it can brag about.

The municipality is among America's 50 Best Cities To Live In, a list compiled by 24/7 Wall St., a financial news and trends website.

Johns Creek ranks fourth on the list, and is the only city in the Peach State to achieve the designation.

To come up with its list, the company reviewed information for cities with a population of 65,000 or greater.

24/7 Wall St.'s list is based on variables such as crime rates, employment growth, access to restaurants and attractions, education level and housing affordability.

For Johns Creek, 24/7 Wall St. notes city residents "earn high incomes while living in a low poverty area, have high levels of education and can enjoy plenty of amenities."

According to the site, Johns Creek's median annual household income (adjusted for the cost of living), is $115,402 a year, more than double the state’s median income. The city's poverty rate stands at 4.6 percent, considerably lower than the national rate of 14.7 percent and the state's rate of 17 percent, respectively.

In 2017, 24/7 Wall St. named Johns Creek as the third best American city to live.
