On his Facebook page, Raffensperger said he is “very grateful” to the voters in Johns Creek who elected him to succeed Lynne Riley, who resigned after she was appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve as the state revenue commissioner.
“I will work for everyone — both (sic) for those who supported me as well as those of you who supported my opponent,” he added.

“We fought hard and although we fell short, I am still thankful for the opportunity to have met so many people across Johns Creek,” she added. “It has been an honor to serve each of you over the years, and I can promise that I will continue to work hard to serve Johns Creek.”
