Ex-Employee Claims Kennesaw Plastic Surgeon Was an Alcoholic
Nedra Dodds and her assistant are facing felony murder charges after two deaths at the Opulence Aesthetic Clinic.

KENNESAW, GA -- A former employee of a Kennesaw doctor facing felony murder charges says her former boss is a functioning alcoholic.
Dr. Nedra Dodds and an assistant are in a Cobb County jail facing murder, aggravated battery and theft by deception charges after two people died at the Opulence Aesthetic Clinic.
Now, WTVM is reporting that a deposition from one of Dodds’ former employees says she smelled alcohol on Dodds’ breath while the physician was working in the office or performing surgery.

Other employees also corroborated the former employee’s statement. The same deposition states Dodds came to work one morning unsteady on her feet and reeking of alcohol.
Dodds and Kevin McCowan were indicted last week after an investigation into two deaths at the clinic in 2013.

According to police reports, April Jenkins died in February 2013 died after going into cardiac arrest following a fat-transfer procedure. Four months later, Erica Beaubrun was found by police and firefighters at the clinic, lying in a pool of blood after a buttocks reduction procedure in which silicone implants were removed.
EMTs determined she also went into cardiac arrest. The clinic allegedly waited more than 20 minutes before calling 9-1-1.
