Kennesaw Man Disappears in Mountains

Rick Masters hasn't been heard from since July 19.

Authorities in Rabun County are looking for a man who went missing while in the North Georgia mountains.

According to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Richard Arnold "Rick" Masters, 56, was reported missing on July 21 by his brother, who lives in , after not being heard from in two days.

Masters reportedly liked to hike in the area of Tallulah Falls, and his unoccupied Jeep Cherokee was found last Thursday at the end of Kelsey Mountain Road, which is where he likely had been hiking, the newspaper reports. Officials said the Jeep was locked when they found it and that there were no signs of foul play.

Authorities used aircraft and K-9 units to search the area, and have given his picture to other hikers but have not been able to locate him.

Masters is described as being a white male standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing between 165 and 170 pounds. He has brown/gray hair, brown eyes and may have a mustache.
