5-Year-Old Gwinnett Girl Dies in Pool Drowning
The incident happened at about 7 p.m. on Saturday.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A 5-year-old Gwinnett County girl died Saturday evening after drowning in a swimming pool.
At about 7 p.m. Saturday, Gwinnett County police and firefighters were called to the incident location.
The girl had been pulled out of the swimming pool and was not responsive, Gwinnett County Police Department spokesman Cpl. Deon Washington said Sunday.

Emergency responders began medical treatment and the girl was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, where she was pronounced dead.
The incident was an accident and no charges are expected, Washington said.
