Hijab Event

Please join the women auxilliary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (GA Chapter) tomorrow on February 20th for a fun filled day!

February 1st marked the annual World Hijab Day. As a Muslim woman, I feel proud to be wearing my hijab in this country. For many women just like me, the hijab is a visible sign of our faith and identity. It is my dignity, pride, and joy. Without it, I am incomplete. Unfortunately, the media has portrayed the hijab to be a symbol of oppression and slavery for women. The hijab is actually a means of liberation. Hijab is my salvation. It acts as a shield of protection. Most importantly, the hijab reminds me of my beliefs and my purpose. It is a simple and powerful reminder to stay strong.

In honor of World Hijab Day, the women auxilliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Georgia chapter is holding an event to raise awareness about Muslim women and their practices of modesty, including the hijab. We will talk about the significance of the hijab, what it means, and even answer any questions you have. Please join us and bring your friends. Details of the event are listed below.
