For these day use parks, the only method of payment will be by credit or debit card. The fees will remain the same: $5 per vehicle; $2 per person for walk-ins; $5 per boat launch; $20 per commercial vehicle; and $40 per annual pass. However, patrons will not have to worry about having the exact fee amount in cash.

In the past, Lake Lanier patrons deposited cash in the yellow user-fee envelops that were then dropped into a brown vault box.

Patrons planning to use a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-managed boat ramp must properly display one of the following Federal Recreation Passes: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Annual Pass, America the Beautiful Senior Pass, America the Beautiful Access Pass, or an America the Beautiful Annual Pass. There will not be a vault or automated credit card machine within these parks.

The following six U.S. Army Corps of Engineers managed boat ramps will be accessible to recreational pass holders only:
East Bank Vanns Tavern
Balus Creek Tidwell
Little River Thompson Bridge

Starting on March 18, the Lake Lanier Project Management Office pass sales room will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The USACE annual pass will also be available by credit card purchase at the 12 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers day-use park automated credit card machines. Those who purchase a pass from the credit card machine have seven days to redeem the receipt for a USACE Annual Pass at the Lake Lanier Project Management Office or by mail with your address and phone number attached. This pass will be valid for one year from the purchase date.
