Mold, Dented Cans: Gwinnett Taco Restaurant Fails Inspection
The restaurant scored a 60/U on its health inspection on Tuesday and could be shut down if it fails on a follow-up visit.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Dented food cans and a moldy ice machine helped lead a Lawrenceville taco restaurant to a failing score on its health inspection this week.
Oaxaca Tacos and Tequila Bar, at 1760 Old Norcross Rd., scored a 60/U on the report from the Tuesday inspection.
Inspectors cited the restaurant for its managers not knowing basic information about food safety. Hand sinks in the kitchen were found with no soap, two aluminum cans holding food were dented and an ice machine had a "mold like buildup" — a problem inspectors say they've dinged the restaurant for twice.

Food including cooked potatoes, chicken and various sauces was left out to cool instead of being placed in a cooler. The door to the cooler was not closing automatically and a mop sink was found missing a device to prevent backflow.
Oaxaca had scored a 90/A on its most recent inspection on February 23. Less than two weeks earlier, it had scored a 79/C.

A follow-up inspection will be conducted within the next 10 days. If there restaurant scores below a 70 again, it could be shut down while problems are addressed.
