• Georgia's first Safe Haven Baby Box opens in Henry County (wsbradio.com) — Locust Grove is slated to receive one of Henry County’s first Safe Haven Baby Boxes, giving local parents a secure, anonymous way to surrender newborns up to 45 days old. The first box just opened at Fire Station 6 in Ellenwood, with another planned for Fire Station 5 on Georgia 20, all monitored 24/7 to keep surrendered infants safe until help arrives.
