Woman hit by car, killed trying to cross I-75 in Henry County: GSP (11alive.com) — A McDonough woman died early Thursday after being struck by two vehicles while trying to cross I-75 northbound near mile marker 227 in Henry County. Georgia State Patrol says the victim and both drivers are from McDonough, and the fatal crash remains under investigation.

Send Me Now missionary says camp service renewed childlike faith (christianindex.org) — A summer day camp at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough gave local kids a week of games, worship, and Bible study while renewing a young counselor’s sense of childlike faith. University of West Georgia graduate Lily Hollister says serving rising second graders, including a camper with special needs, deepened her commitment to ministry and brought her back to Camp 323 next year as a volunteer.

Suspects stole license plate before $17K Lululemon spree, police say (fox5atlanta.com) — Early on July 25, suspects reportedly stole a license plate in McDonough, then used it on a gray Nissan Altima during a quick $17,000 shoplifting spree at a Lululemon in Peachtree City. Police have released detailed descriptions of the two men and their vehicle and are asking anyone in McDonough or nearby who recognizes them to contact investigators.

High School Recruiting Buzz: SEC Wins and a Bombshell Reclassification (hoopshq.com) — A top national basketball recruit from Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy in McDonough is reclassifying from the Class of 2028 to 2027, boosting his path toward college and the NBA.
