I want to thank you all for your continued prayers for Gwenevere, and ask that you continue to keep her and her family lifted in prayer. As a result the tragic accident, I was charged with Reckless Conduct, a Misdemeanor, in Gwinnett County.

While focused on the recovery and healing of Gwenevere, I will simultaneously continue with my duties and responsibilities as the Sheriff of Clayton County.

Please continue to pray for Gwenevere and her family.

Police say Hill hasn’t spoken to authorities, other than when he called 911 to report the incident, which occurred around 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the model home located at 2567 Britt Trail Drive, near Tribble Mill Park. McCord is an agent for Paran Realty and worked at the model home.

The arrest warrant accuses Hill of β€œconsciously disregarding a substantial and unjustifiable risk,” in the shooting, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. The newspaper also reported Gwinnett DA Danny Porter indicated Hill’s account of the incidentΒ in his 911 call contradicted some of the evidence gathered by investigators.

On Tuesday, the sheriff released a brief statement β€” his first comments β€” on the incident, which he called a β€œtragic and heartbreaking accident,” and also asked for prayers for McCord.
