• Burglar allegedly steals cash, payroll checks from beloved Mableton deli (fox5atlanta.com) — A longtime Mableton favorite, Reid's Deli, was hit by a quick overnight burglary that stole cash bags, payroll checks, and a checkbook, threatening pay for its small staff of mostly single parents. The 60-year-old mom-and-pop shop is known for supporting local fundraisers, so neighbors are especially upset. Police are reviewing surveillance video as the community hopes for a swift arrest.
   

• Mableton council agenda includes appointment of interim police chief (cobbcountycourier.com) — Mableton residents have a key City Council meeting tonight at the Riverside EpiCenter, where leaders will consider naming the public safety director as interim police chief and voting on a major new software system. Several rezonings, stormwater agreements, and ordinances on parks, administration, and delinquent taxes are also up for action or deferral.
