• Macon woman indicted on human trafficking, RICO charges involving teen (41nbc.com) — A 48-year-old Macon woman has been indicted in Bibb County on human trafficking and RICO charges tied to a multi-county investigation involving a missing 17-year-old girl. State prosecutors say eight defendants formed a criminal enterprise that trafficked the teen across Georgia, with related indictments in Richmond and McDuffie counties. Local, state, and federal agencies, including the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, collaborated on the case. 
• Central gets first victory since 2023 with 30-0 win over Greenville (macon.com) — Central High's football team finally snapped its long losing streak with a 30-0 win over Greenville at Thompson Stadium in Macon, in a lightning-shortened opener of the Bibb County Gridiron Classic. Big plays from quarterback Tyquez Floyd, receiver Donald Haywood, and two-way standout Justin Hodges energized the East Macon crowd before storms ended the game early. Coaches and players say they're focused on carrying that momentum into next week's home matchup with Jordan.
