Carjacking Suspect: Someone Spiked My Chick-fil-A Drink
Kristie Nesby, suspected of killing a pedestrian during a carjacking spree that began in Cobb County, was denied bond on Wednesday.

Marietta, GA -- A woman suspected of killing a pedestrian during a May 2016 carjacking spree that led from Cobb County into the city of Atlanta, was denied bond on Wednesday during a court appearance.
Kristie Renee Nesby told the judge in the case that someone spiked her drink at a Chick-fil-A before the incident, according to the AJC.
Police say Nesby was driving a green 2006 Ford 500 southbound on Cobb Parkway early on the morning of May 11. Police she she then intentionally left her lane of travel and hit Marietta resident Luci James Yarborough Turner, 71, who was walking on the sidewalk. Nesby then is suspected of two committing two separate carjackings. She was armed with a handgun in both incidents.

The Atlanta Police Department took Nesby into custody a short time later near Ponce de Leon Avenue, in front of the Majestic Diner.
Nesby is facing charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, hit and run, and failure to maintain lane. Police say additional charges are expected to be filed.

She has been in the Cobb Adult Detention Center since her arrest.
