Cloudland Canyon offering 25% off camping in August

Sitting at the Georgia/Alabama/Tennessee line at the western side of Lookout Mountian is Cloudland Canyon State Park. The deep gorge was cut by Sitton Gulch Creek, where the elevation varies from 800 to over 1,800 feet.

The most spectacular view into the canyon is an easy walk from the picnic area; however, hikers can also explore a rim trail or journey to the canyon floor by a series of staircases.  Two waterfalls cascade over layers of sandstone and shale into pools below, with their flow depending on recent rains.

Spectacular Cloudland Canyon State Park in northwest Georgia is offering 25% off campsites during August.  Campers can choose from spacious RV sites, modern trailer sites and even walk-in tent sites.  Bathhouses with hot showers are centrally located. Rates are normally $15 - $28 per night.  Call (706) 657-4050 to ask for the discount.
