The flag itself was retired in 2002.
MARIETTA, GA — One of the flags that flew at the World Trade Center during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks is being flown this week at the Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services headquarters.
Retired New York firefighter Danny Fink offered the flag, which was retired on May 15, 2002. It is being flown at 1595 County Services Parkway in remembrance of those who died in New York during the terrorist attacks.
