Cobb Truck Driver Charged in Fatal Ohio Crash
A 14-year-old girl was killed on Sunday when a tractor trailer crashed into a series of cars on the Ohio Turnpike.

TOLEDO, OH — A truck driver from Powder Springs is facing charges of aggravated vehicular homicide after his tractor trailer collided into a line of slowly moving cars on an Ohio turnpike construction zone.
Chavan Roosevelt Carter, 40, is also charged with vehicular assault and failure to obey a traffic-control device, according to the Toledo Blade.
Carter is being held in the Erie County jail in Ohio.

The incident happened Sunday morning when police say Carter's rig crashed into the cars, causing the death of a 14-year-old New York girl. She was declared dead at the scene Sunday afternoon near the State Route 4 interchange in Erie County's Groton Township.
Police said Carter's truck failed to stop in time for the slow traffic in the construction zone.
